Installing SiteFrenz
About 3 minutes, once
SiteFrenz installs straight from a file rather than through the Chrome Web Store. Chrome supports this on purpose — it is called loading an unpacked extension, and plenty of internal company tools are installed exactly this way. Only one thing differs: you do the first install yourself, and this page walks you through it.
Two things decide whether this works.
Once unzipped, do not delete, move, or rename that folder. Chrome does not copy the extension anywhere — it reads it from that folder every time. Lose the folder and you lose the extension. Put it somewhere permanent like Documents, not in Downloads where you clear things out.
And the extension only runs in Google Chrome on a computer — Windows, macOS, or Linux. Not on a phone, and not in Safari.
The steps
- Download the file Press the orange button above. It is a few hundred KB, so it is quick.
- Unzip it
Windows right-click the file → Extract All → Extract.
macOS double-click it and the folder appears beside it.
You will get a folder called
sitefrenz-x.y.z, numbered after the version you downloaded. Move that folder somewhere permanent right now, before you carry on — moving it after installing will kill the extension. - Open the Chrome extensions page
Copy this address, paste it into the Chrome address bar, and press Enter:

The switch is in the top right corner of that page. It reads Developer mode, or Mode pengembang if your Chrome is in Indonesian. Once it is on, three new buttons appear at the top left.
- Press “Load unpacked”
The leftmost of the three buttons that just appeared — Load unpacked. Then pick the folder you unzipped a moment ago.
Pick the folder, not a file inside it. If Chrome refuses, you have probably gone one level too deep — the right folder is the one containing a file called
manifest.json. - Pin the icon Click the puzzle icon to the right of the address bar, find SiteFrenz, then click the pin beside it. Without this the icon stays hidden and you will think the install failed.
- Sign in with your email Click the SiteFrenz icon, enter the email you bought with, then type the six-digit code we send to it. There is no password — every sign-in gets a fresh code.
Chrome will ask about developer mode. Each time Chrome starts, a box may appear offering to disable developer-mode extensions. Just close it — do not press the button that disables them. It is Chrome's standard warning for extensions installed from a file, not a sign anything is wrong with SiteFrenz.
When a new version comes out
SiteFrenz tells you inside the panel when a new version is out. This is how you update it:
- Download the new version from this page, then unzip it.
- Overwrite your old folder with the contents of the new one. Use the same folder as before — your leads and search history live there.
- Open
chrome://extensionsthen press the reload icon (↻) on the SiteFrenz card.
Your data is safe as long as you use the same folder. Leads, search history, and your sign-in do not live in that folder but in Chrome's own storage, and Chrome identifies SiteFrenz by its fixed identity — not by where the folder sits.
If it does not work

| The extension disappeared on its own | The folder was deleted, moved, or renamed. Download it again, put it somewhere permanent, then reload. Your leads are not lost. |
| The icon is not showing | It is not pinned yet. Click the puzzle icon to the right of the address bar and pin SiteFrenz. |
| The sign-in code never arrives | Check your spam folder. Make sure the address matches the one you bought with exactly — codes only go to an address that holds a subscription. |
| Installed, but it will not scan | Open Google Maps in the same tab first and run the search from inside the SiteFrenz panel, not from the Google Maps search box. |
| Already on three devices | One subscription covers three computers. If you have stopped using one, release it from Settings → Devices in the panel. |
Is installing it this way safe?
The file you download is exactly what we build from our source, and its fingerprint (SHA-256) is printed under the download button — if you want to check it. Only one thing differs from a store install: updates are not automatic, so SiteFrenz tells you itself when a new version is out.
