SiteFrenz

SiteFrenz Town

Where SiteFrenz users meet in person.

SiteFrenz Town is a virtual town you open in your browser. You walk around as your own avatar, and when you get close to someone your voice and video connect, like chatting in a town square. Its buildings hold a jobs board, a service request board, classrooms, a gallery of finished work, rooms you can rent for your business, and a hall for playing chess or quizzes together. Every SiteFrenz licence holder and referral member can get in at no extra cost.

The SiteFrenz Town square: four avatars standing by the fountain, the text chat bottom left, and the Nearby panel on the right with the three people close by.
The town square. Rina asks in the chat, Dimas answers, and everyone standing close joins Nearby.

Getting in

One button in the panel, then pick your avatar.

  1. Press Enter SiteFrenz Town. The button is in the Profile tab, in the extension and in the phone app alike. Referral members find it on the referral page. It opens the town with a single-use ticket, so you do not need another email code.
  2. Set your name and avatar.Avatars look like a 3D animated film. Skin tone, face, hair or hijab, top, bottom, shoes, glasses, headwear and extras are picked one by one, each in the colour you like. There are eight ready-made avatars and a Shuffle button if you would rather not choose.
  3. Check your camera and mic.You can go in with both off and switch them on later. This screen also has camera backgrounds and a mirror button.

What is in town

A round town with thirteen places, each with its own use.

The SiteFrenz Town plan: coloured buildings with their names and how many people are inside, a directory on the right, and each board's count below the plan.
The town plan. Press M or the map icon, then click a place and your avatar walks there.

Talking

Walk up to someone and the call connects by itself.

There is no meeting link to share. People standing near you join Nearby, and once you walk away the call drops. You can set each person's volume yourself.

  • Chat in three scopes: Nearby for people close to you, Room for one building, and Everyone for the whole town.
  • Meeting rooms in the Office, the Academy and the Community Hall, with a shared whiteboard and screen sharing.
  • Focus mode when you do not want to be disturbed. Pokes and invitations stay out, and nearby voices do not connect.
  • A photo or video above your head. Add your photo so people recognise you, for everyone or for friends only. When cameras are on and you are talking, the photo turns into live video. Prefer the video in the side panel? Move it there.
  • Reactions above your head: a wave, applause, a heart, an idea, a question and a coffee.
  • A notification bell. Pokes, game challenges, knocks on your door, your name mentioned in chat and events starting in five minutes all land in the bell with a short chime. When the town tab is in the background, they can show up as desktop notifications.
Dimas's CV card open in the middle of the screen: headline, summary, skills, experience, education and an Open profile page button.

Cards

Show your CV without sending a file.

Click someone on the map or their name in the list, then choose what to do. Cards are put together by the SiteFrenz server from the profile you reviewed, so nobody can hand out a card in someone else's name.

Poke

Say hello without typing anything. They get a small notice and can answer with their own card.

Show my card

Your CV card, an opportunity board with your services and rates, or your referral link. Your WhatsApp number goes along only if you tick it, and your lead list never does.

Invite to meet

Pick a place, such as the Town Café or an interview room. If they accept, their avatar walks there straight away. You can also walk over to someone or follow them.

Shared files

Work on Docs, Sheets and Slides together without switching tabs.

Paste a Google Docs, Sheets, Slides, Forms or Drive link in a room and everyone inside can open it next to the town. If your Google account is signed in on the browser, you can edit it right there.

Pin it to the room

The file stays in the room for whoever arrives later. In a meeting room it takes the main screen, just like the whiteboard.

Mark your review

Read it, approve it, or ask for changes. Everyone in the room can see who has read it and who has it open right now.

Discuss it alongside

Discussion notes sit beside the file, and one button asks everyone in the room to open it too.

Boards

Jobs and service requests, straight from other users.

The Job Exchange has a jobs board and a jobseekers board. The Opportunity Exchange has boards for service requests and service offers. The Work Gallery shows pages you have published, and the notice board in the square is written by the SiteFrenz team.

  • Measured against your CV. Each job gets a match percentage, worked out the same way as Find Work in the panel, and service requests that fit your skills are marked.
  • No phone numbers or links in the text. People answer through the board, one reply each, and can attach their CV card or opportunity board.
  • Not a place for spam. At most six live posts per person, and a post reported by three people is hidden until the team has looked at it.

The Job Exchange board as Dimas sees it. The percentage on the right comes from his CV.

Your opportunity desk and the CV counter

The town reads your SiteFrenz account, and only you see it.

The desk at the Opportunity Exchange shows leads you have not contacted, follow-ups that are due, applications worth chasing, your AI credits, and what on the town boards fits you. Referral members see their referral link's numbers at the same desk.

The CV counter at the Job Exchange shows your CV card exactly as others will see it, plus what still needs filling in.

The opportunity desk on a phone: two leads not yet contacted, one saved job, AI credits left, the two most promising businesses and one application worth chasing.

SiteFrenz Business Centre

An office for your business, in the middle of a busy town.

The SiteFrenz Business Centre has four offices, two meeting rooms, a class studio and a hall. Rent by the day for an event, or by the month for a team. Your business name goes on the door and in the building directory, so anyone walking by knows who works there.

  • The door locks. Only you and the members you add can walk in. Visitors knock, and you let them in.
  • No visitor goes missed. If someone knocks while nobody is in the room, the knock is noted, and if your WhatsApp is linked to the SiteFrenz assistant you are told there.
  • A whiteboard and screen sharing in the meeting rooms, the studio and the hall, for classes, presentations or team meetings.
  • Pay through Midtrans, the same way you buy a licence. The building manager reviews your request first, then the payment link goes to your email. The rules are in section 12 of the Terms.
The rental desk in the SiteFrenz Business Centre lobby: offices with their daily and monthly prices, the rooms that are free, and the rooms rented by Kopi Senja and Raka Web.

Game Hall and Chess Park

Play together between jobs, and get your name on the leaderboard.

Sit at a free table, then challenge someone who is in town, or press Call players so the whole town knows a table is waiting. Anyone else can watch.

  • Chess with no clock, or with a 3, 5 or 10 minute clock, in the Game Hall or in the Chess Park by the town square.
  • Four in a Row for two, and Snakes and Ladders for two to four people.
  • 8-ball pool for two in the Game Hall’s Pool Room. Aim with the ghost-ball guide, set the spin, pull the cue back and let go. The balls roll with the same physics on both players’ screens.
  • The Town Quiz for up to twelve people. The questions are about Indonesia, business, the digital world, languages and SiteFrenz itself. The faster you answer, the more points you get.
  • Two Truths and a Lie. Write three things about yourself, one of them a lie, and let the others guess. For three to eight people, and a quick way to get to know someone new.
  • Weekly champions boards for every game, and ratings for chess, Four in a Row and pool. The town server records the results, so nobody can make their points up.
The Game Arena shelf, styled like a console home screen: a large Pool cover on top with a button to play, and a row of covers you can swipe through for Chess, Connect Four, Snakes and Ladders, Pool, Town Quiz and Two Truths and a Lie.

Al-Fasa Mosque

Learn to read the Quran from the first letter, alone or together.

Al-Fasa Mosque has a prayer hall, an ablution area and a porch with Quran school tables. Inside, the Quran is recited verse by verse, and at the five prayer times the drum and then the adzan sound across the whole town.

  • A twelve-lesson path, from vowel marks, tanwin and mad to the rules of silent nun, qalqalah and pause marks, each with verses you can listen to.
  • All 29 Arabic letters with where each is pronounced (makhraj), how it joins, and sound drills.
  • All 114 surahs with tajwid colours, seven reciters including slow teaching modes, verse repeat, and a talaqqi mode that pauses for you to repeat.
  • Recite back: read the verse into the microphone and the words not yet heard are marked. It is practice, not a tajwid grade.
  • Group sessions with no limit on learners. One person leads, every learner’s screen moves to the same verse, and the reciter plays on each person’s own device, so ten or a thousand people hear it just as clearly.
  • Prayer times are worked out with the Indonesian Ministry of Religious Affairs method for 37 cities, and the adzan can be switched off from the sound menu.
Learning to recite in the Al-Fasa Mosque Quran school: surah Al-Ikhlas with tajwid-coloured Arabic text, Listen and Recite buttons on each verse, and the Mahmoud Khalil Al-Husary player below.

Avatar, background and sound

Look like yourself, in a town that feels alive.

  • A 3D avatar you put together yourself: six faces, sixteen hair and hijab styles, fifteen tops from t-shirts to koko shirts, kebaya and gamis, bottoms from jeans to sarongs, plus peci, blangkon and berets, all in the colours you choose. You can add a photo of your face above it, or not.
  • Fifteen camera backgrounds, from a beach to a library, plus blur. A background you upload yourself stays in your browser and is never sent to our server.
  • Every building has its own music: lo-fi in the office, jazz in the café, piano in the academy, gamelan in the hall, and Quran recitation in the mosque. Change it or switch it off per building. In the square and the park you hear nature, footsteps included.
  • An isometric town you can zoom in and out with the mouse wheel, a two-finger pinch on a phone, or the + and − buttons at the bottom right.
The screen before entering town: display name, eight ready-made avatars, the Face to Extras tabs, and a turning 3D avatar preview.
The town gate, where you set your name and avatar before going in.
SiteFrenz Town on a phone: the square with its fountain, two avatars, a joystick bottom left, and the Chat and reaction buttons bottom right.

On a phone

Walk with a joystick, with nothing to install.

Open it in your phone's browser as usual. Use the joystick bottom left to walk, or just tap where you want to go. A Use button appears on its own when you stand next to a board, a coffee machine or a whiteboard.

The top bar is a single row, the Nearby panel shrinks to a pill, and the chat opens from one button, so the town stays in view.

What we do not keep

Your conversations are not recorded.

  • Chat messages are passed to the people in town and then forgotten.
  • Voice, video and screens flow directly between browsers. When your network blocks that, they pass through our relay server encrypted, and are still not recorded.
  • Pokes and invitations only go to the person they are meant for.
  • Cards you receive are kept in your browser, not on a server.
  • Whiteboards live only in the town server's memory and are gone when it restarts.
  • Google files open straight from Google in your browser. The town only keeps the link, the review marks and the notes until the file is unpinned.
  • Game moves are not stored. Only the final result is recorded, for the leaderboard.

What is kept and for how long, board posts included, is set out in full in the privacy policy.

What you need to know

A few limits, so nothing surprises you.

150 people at once

When the town is full you are asked to try again a little later. The SiteFrenz team can still get in to run a class.

Browser

Built and tested in Chrome, on laptops and phones. Your camera and mic only turn on once you allow them.

Connection

Voice and video need a steady connection. On a weak signal, turn video off and keep just the mic.

Accounts

A revoked or suspended licence cannot get in. An expired licence can still enter and read the boards.

See you in the square.

If you hold a licence or have joined the referral programme, open the Profile tab in the panel and press Enter SiteFrenz Town.
